SheKnows, founded by Amnah Ajmal and built out of the United Arab Emirates, has officially launched as a digital platform focused on supporting women who are already in senior leadership roles. Unlike most women’s leadership initiatives that focus on early-career development or general mentorship, SheKnows is built for those already operating at the top who are navigating a pivotal career moment, whether returning from maternity leave, feeling stalled in a long-held position, or facing a high-stakes transition.
“Leadership today is not just about having a seat at the table; it is about shaping the decisions that define industries and economies,” said Ajmal. “By connecting them with global leaders through private one-on-one sessions, we enable them to move more confidently through life’s most defining career transitions.”
At the heart of the platform is a curated network of “Growth Navigators” senior global executives, both men and women, who draw on their own career journeys to guide members through critical moments. These sessions are private and one-on-one, with AI-powered tools built into the platform to help users translate uncertainty into clear, actionable steps forward.
Among those signed on as Growth Navigators is Amadou Diallo, CEO of Aramex Group. “Empowering women is the catalyst for global change. Each empowered sister sends ripples that transform communities and illuminate our future,” he said. Sandeep Walia, COO for the Middle East & Africa Luxury division at Marriott International, also joined the initiative, describing it as an inspiring effort to help women build genuine confidence and capability at the executive level.
The launch comes at a time when the gap between women’s workforce participation and their representation in boardrooms and C-suites remains a persistent challenge, particularly across the Middle East and Africa, where opportunity is high but progression into top roles remains uneven. Businesses are also under growing pressure from stakeholders around governance, accountability, and diversity, making the need for senior women in decision-making roles more urgent than ever.
SheKnows is set to open to women around the world throughout 2026, with its roster of Growth Navigators expected to expand steadily as the platform grows.
