Plus500 Appoints Muhammad Alamer as UAE Brand Ambassador

Plus500, the global multi-asset fintech group, has appointed Muhammad Alamer as its Brand Ambassador in the United Arab Emirates. Alamer, an established figure in UAE wealth management, will lead educational programs and provide macroeconomic commentary for the platform’s regional and global customer base.

The appointment aligns with the UAE’s newly formalized regulatory framework for financial content creators. Alamer is among the first individuals in the country to secure an official finfluencer registration, holding Registration No. 4 under the Capital Market Authority (CMA), the federal market regulator formerly known as the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA).

INSTITUTIONAL BACKGROUND AND MARKET SHIFTS

Before moving into public financial commentary, Alamer spent more than 17 years advising affluent and high-net-worth clients across several leading UAE financial institutions, including Emirates NBD, Mashreq, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, and the Commercial Bank of Dubai.

During his tenure in the banking sector, he observed a structural shift in retail trading behavior, noting that investors were increasingly turning to online platforms and social media for market insights rather than relying solely on traditional banking relationship managers. Today, Alamer operates Majlis Mali, an Arabic-language financial education channel, alongside publishing a LinkedIn newsletter and daily reports on gold and oil markets to help bridge the gap between institutional analysis and retail trading.

A FOCUS ON RESPONSIBLE EDUCATION

In his capacity as Brand Ambassador, Alamer will host public webinars, seminars, and open educational initiatives for Plus500’s users, including clients of Plus500Gulf Securities, the group’s CMA-regulated UAE subsidiary. His published content will focus primarily on commodities, global markets, and overarching macroeconomic trends.

David Zruia, Chief Executive Officer of the Plus500 Group, stated that the appointment reflects the company’s operational standards in the region. “Muhammad brings a rare mix to Plus500: deep institutional experience, real credibility with traders, and a clear commitment to education done responsibly,” Zruia said. “As one of the first registered finfluencers in the UAE, he reflects the standard we want to set in this market, and we are pleased to welcome him.”

Alamer emphasized that his approach centers on fundamental market comprehension and risk management rather than short-term trading signals. “After nearly two decades in banking, wealth management and financial markets, one thing has stayed constant. People make better decisions when they understand why markets move, not just what they are doing,” Alamer noted. “What drew me to Plus500 was the way it brings together technology, education and a strong trading platform to support traders build that understanding. Whether I am working with Premium Customers, speaking at a webinar or sharing analysis online, my goal is the same – to guide traders to think clearly, manage risk and stay disciplined.”
